After showers, hair straightening and a bit of drama we headed out to shop for a bit and then back to the convention center again to watch our Pink squad (youngest squad). They did great and are in 2nd place out of 17 teams. They have a great chance of getting first tomorrow if they hit everything! Good luck tomorrow pink!!!
Then back to the mall for lunch and then get the girls dressed and over the arena for their chance to show their stuff!
As you can see from the pictures it was very crowded everywhere you went. The girls were really great about staying with us and sticking together.
We sent Emily's squad (Orange) off with the thoughts of their coaches in a bikini (if they come in the top 5 the coaches will dress in a bikini and hold up go orange signs in front of the gym). The next hour watched some of the other teams in their division and some were really good and others were just okay. We knew we had a shot at coming in the top half and we would love that!
Orange DID AWESOME!!! I was so proud of them. They were all smiles and really did a good job. No drops, pyramid hit. It looked great.
Now the wait for the standings.
The wait is over .........................................
They are in 12th place out of 32 teams (the largest division in the competition)! We were thrilled. The girls are only 3/10ths of a point out of the top 5! They are so excited!!! Tomorrow will be a very exciting day for them.
GO ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, we waited another hour, watched all the teams competing against Silver (our most advanced squad). They are competing for the first time as one squad (was 2) and have been practicing for 10 days. Considering this, I think they did a really good job. They had some drops and a few things did not go up, but I still think it was good. I was really proud of all their hard work!
Then back to the hotel for some room service (Pizza) and some chilling time. It is 9:00 pm and the girls are down decorating the coaches door with signs of encouragement and ribbons. What good kids they are!!!
