Wonderful Mother's Day Weekend

I got to start my Mother's Day Weekend EARLY!!!!! Barry has been doing a ton of traveling lately and he was in Orlando all week and Universal invited the families to spend the weekend! YIPPPEEE!!!! We decided to do a date weekend instead of the whole family. I'm so glad we did! I wanted some me time with Barry!

I took Thursday off so I could get the kids and dogs settled before I left. I also got to spend a wonderful morning with my friend Melissa. We went to a spin class at Gold's to start our morning off. Then we got pedicures (man that felt great!) then lunch. After all the pampering, I had to get the dogs to my parents and then drop Emily at Cheerleading (Thanks Melissa for taking good care of Emily for me Thursday night!!!!). Then to the airport. My flight left at 6:30 and I arrived at 8:00pm. Once in our room at the Royal Pacific I called Barry who was still working and I met him at Latin Quarter in City Walk. I got to meet several of his co-workers and we hung at at City Jazz for a while. The band was really good.

Friday Barry had to work during the day so I got to hang by myself. That was really nice!!!! Bring It On 4 (cheerleading movie for those of you who don't know!) was being filmed at Universal Studios so I headed over there to see if I could get a few autographs and pictures for Emily. Below are some pictures of some of the sets they were using.

After waiting forever it seemed, I got to see Ashley Teasdale (The blonde in the Disney TV Show "Life with Zack & Cody") and she signed Emily's i-Base shirt. I got really big COOL MOM POINTS for that one!!! You can sort of see Ashley in the pictures below. I'm not sure who the other 2 are, but they are in the cast of the movie.

After spending the day alone, which I loved!!! I met up with Barry who had had a great day! He won an award for his Department. I think it was called Leadership in Excellance Award! He received $500. and several other really nice things. I was really proud of him! We had to go celebrate!!! We met up with some of his team members at Margarittaville and had a marvelous time.

This is Johnny and Tammy who are from New York. They also have 2 year old triplet girls at home so this was a big deal for them to get away! What a sweet couple!

Next we have Al. He was too funny. Al is from Philedelphia.

Last but definately not least is Cynthia and Dennis. These folks were fabulous. They kept us laughing all weekend. They are from Boston. Cynthia was such a joy to hang out with. You never knew what she was going to do next. I even got to dance with her. Oh yeah, Dennis - you made a great Jake!

Don't we look cute? We were having such a good time.

This is Cynthia who was playing with the kid at the next table, but she did not realize she had the mask on upside down. It was quite funny.

Saturday Barry and I hung out at the parks for a while with everyone and had a good time. I had no idea going to an amusement park with adults could be so much fun. We always have the kids which is always great, but to do the parks with adults was a different, but great experience. We are going to have to do this again. Any takers???

We had lunch at the Nascar Cafe and then headed to the pool. I did anyway. Barry got into the cool hotel and out he went. I let him sleep for 2 hours while I went to the pool.

Dinner was incredible!! We went to "THE PALM" over at the Hard Rock Hotel. Man was that awesome! We were stuffed when we walked out of there.

Mother's Day we went shopping in the parks and Barry took me to Mythos in Islands of Adventure. This restaurant has won best theme park restaurant for 5 years running. The themeing inside is wonderful.

We had Shrimp Tempura Sushi for an apetizer, then

I had the Mother's Day special! WOW THIS WAS GREAT! Asparagus, Mashed Potatos, Prime Rib, Crab Meat and then onion straws. My mouth still waters! I ate it all!
This is Barry's it was some sort of Scallops and something. He loved it though.
And this is what was left of dessert. They were tiny shot glasses. One had carrot cake, one was key lime and rasberry and the other was chocolate. They were all incredible.
Thanks Barry for such a fun Mother's Day!!!

First Dances

We went to Tracey and Mark's wedding a few weeks ago and all Emily wanted to do was dance with her daddy! It was so so sweet! He told her they would have to dance to the same song on her wedding day.

Now Devin on the other hand refused to dance with me or anyone else. He had 3 gorgious blonds try and get him to dance. They even took to physically trying to get him on the dance floor and he refused. One day I do believe he is going to regret this!!!

More Dancing with Dad!!! She would not let me get a dance it!

Devin was bored during all of this dancing and came up with his own entertainment. What a silly kid! I almost told him to act his age, but realized that he really was!!!!

Aren't my men handsome?

Below are some good friends of ours Rachel and Kevin Guy. They sure look good together!

Now they are getting into the spirit of the wedding!

GO KEVIN!!! GO KEVIN!!!!

Puppie Training

Devin and I have had such a good time taking Raven to Doggie Training and Country Lane Kennel off Post Road. Raven loves to run wide open in the large field we work the dogs in. As you can see from the picture she is a calm and hot pup after getting to run around and play. So far she has learned to sit and Devin is able to move to the end of the leash as well as walk around her. She also learned an emergency "Here" command last week. That one was really cool.

I've enjoyed getting to do something really special with Devin. He is a really cool kid!

Yellow Fever

Emily will be on the Yellow Fever Team this year with Douglasville Cheer Stars. Below is her new team. Aren't they cute? These pictures were taken on the first day of practice.

Smile Coach Becca!!!!

Friends are Friends

Well, we are all now 40!!!!!
We celebrated a few weekends ago by going and spending the weekend together in Helen. We had such a good time. It is amazing how you can not speak for months and still feel like you are as close as you were in school when you get together. I love these ladies and I am thankful for their friendship!
