Last Competition - Day 1

YEAH!! M&M men! Too cute. I really wanted my picture made with the green one, but could not find him.

Last competition. They look so cute!
Now this is how the really act!
Joy giving them her famous pep talks. I wish she could give me one of these every morning.

All of the Cheer Star Coaches - Erica, Erin, Rob, Rachel, Becca and Christy.

heading over to the room to meet the boys on the ferry. Madison (emily's little sister) and Emily are hanging out. They had such a great time together and were the perfect fit. I'm going to miss her and especially her mom! IT was awesome getting to know Jenny!

After a morning of cheerleading for the girls and Fort Polaski for the boys, we met up and had lunch together.

aw, he noticed I was taking his picture and turned away. Bummer.

Emily, Alexandra and Madison - Aren't they sweet!

Man deep in thought!
Avoiding the camera AGAIN!
The girls were doing all these silly facials so Melissa and I thought we'd try it. How'd we do girls?

After lunch we were headed to the candy shop. On the way we found this really cool set of VERY steep stairs which the kids had to climb and then pose for pictures. If you look closely you can see Devin hiding in the doorways.

There are really great candy stores in Savannah and we let the kids get a bag each. These kids were so funny running around filling up there bags. They had more fun filling them up than eating them. They still have most of the candy sitting on my counter 2 weeks later. Even Barry got in on it. He could not let them have all the fun.

Everyone but me walked out with some kind of treat! Then we walked over to the waters edge and chilled while the kids acted silly and loaded up on sugar. What more could you want.

Oops. Caught him unaware!

Can't remember what she is pointing at.

From here we went swimming and then a late dinner at Churchhill's Pub. It was yummy. The boys did a walking ghost tour at 9:30pm and Emily and I went to bed. They got in around 11:30. Barry said it was not scary, but really interesting.

Happy Birthday to ME

I took my birthday off from work and we headed to Savannah early for Emily's last cheerleading competition. We got to hang out in Savannah most of the day on Friday and had a great time. The weather was beautiful and it was a WONDERFUL day!

Happy Birthday Mom

To grandmother's house we go. Does anyone else notice that I'm NOT in the front seat? The kids have taken a liking to sticking me in the backseat. Especially Devin. He says it is easier to irritate me this way. AND HE DOES!

Hello DAD!

Devin hates getting his picture made which makes it much more fun to take!
I'm hoping she is just bored!

Happy 62nd Birthday Mom!

apparently Barry is a bit looney today.

Cheer Star Tryouts

Yes, it is time already. Em was so nervous. She was afraid she would not make the team and afraid she would. She has to move up to a Junior team this year. D'ville was not sure at the time of tryouts if they would even do a Jr team. They were hoping to do a Jr. Level 3 and that would mean that she would have to throw her standing and Roundoff BH at tryouts and forever more. She threw 3 standing and 1 running and landed them all. She was so excited.

Well, we can finally get her hair up in a ponytail again.

After a very long weekend of waiting, Erica finally sent an e-mail and said they had decided not to have a Junior team this year. She was very disappointed and I was surprised at how disappointed I was.

But not to worry, there is plenty more to do. She is trying out for middle school cheerleading and will continue to take tumbling classes in the hopes of a Junior team next year. She also said something about trying out for soccer too. Whatever works for me.

Raven's Happy

For those of you who don't believe an animal smiles, just check out this picture. She is so sweet!
