It has been a long long time since I actually posted anything to my blog.  Thought I'd try and get back into it and share some of my photography adventures as I learn what works and what does not.

My most recent adventure was last Wednesday when I joined the Douglas County High School Quiz Bowl Team that Emily student manages to participate in High-Q.  This is a local contest amoung Metro Atlanta High schools sponsered by WSBTV.

Our evening began at the Varisty!  Then it took us over 30 minutes to go 2 miles to the tv station.  There were some very nervous kids and parents trying to get there on time.

We all waited in a small are until everyone arrived.  Perfect time for some candid shots!

Spencer was extremely impressed with the server room and had to take pictures on his phone.

We head into the studio and they gather the players and the alternates around to explain the rules

It was a bit dark and I really should have used a flash.  Below are some additional shots of the studio

Getting every mics and a test round to make sure everyone understands the rules.

A small break before the show begins.  Time for more pictures!

Maudi photo bombing...

A pep talk from Mrs. Vickie Burnett with the entire Quiz Bowl Team.

The whole Quiz Bowl Team ready to begin and hopeful of their chances to advance to the 2nd round.

And play begins...

DC is up by 30 at the end of the 1st Round!!

End of 2nd round and DC is down by 50.  Oh nooooo....

End of 3rd round and DC is down by a good bit.  We have some serious catching up to do to win.

No fear,  the DC team comes back for the win!  Great job~  So proud of them!

Time to celebrate!!!

Happy 13th Birthday Emily!

Even Raven wanted to wish Emily a happy birthday.

Great look for Barry.

I was surprised he would even put it on with my camera around.

This is what I call a tolerant father.

Emily's birthday, but Devin thinks he has to get in every picture. He is showing off his new braces he got for Emily's birthday.

Yes, I made the cake and Yes, it is really ugly, but it tasted amazing.

GA Tech Spring Game

Barry finally broke down and bought 2 season tickets to the GA Tech games this year. We are all excited about getting to go this year. Below are pictures from the spring game a few weeks ago. Em had a cheer thing and Dev had a soccer game so Barry had to go alone. Secretly, I think he enjoyed it more alone....

This is the view from our seats. Not bad.
